To prepare for a tax-free shopping weekend, you can either create a tax authority with a 0.00 tax rate or you can change the tax rate of an existing tax authority to 0.00. Either option results in sales without charge sales tax until another tax authority is selected or until you reset the tax rate for the default tax authority. It is important to remember to make that change once the tax-free weekend is over if you want to charge sales tax the first day after the tax-free weekend.
Follow the steps in Set up AIMsi for a tax-free weekend to add a tax-free tax authority or to update an existing tax authority.
